On Thursday, Jan. 28, 11 students at St. Paul Catholic High School in Bristol, above, braved the scissors to donate at least 8.5 inches of their own hair to make wigs for cancer patients.
St. Paul Catholic alumnus Emily Camden, right, a hairdresser at First Impressions in Bristol, donated her time to cut the ponytails and give the girls a haircut. The Kilbourne family helped organize and execute the event.
The girls who took part in the fundraiser were Maggie Carpenter, Ashley Crowley, Lizzie Darraghti, Molly Eaton, Steph Edick, Alena Hauer, Victoria Kilbourne, Olivia Kilbourne, Isabelle Kunze, Michelle Misiti, and Alexandria Mourges.
